• Linch pins are precision fasteners used to prevent a wheel or other part from sliding off the axle upon which it is riding.
• Linch pins, also commonly termed as quick release pins, employ a locking ring that can be flipped open when installing, and snapped closed to lock the pin into place.
• These quick locking pins do not require cotter pins and are faster to use than either a clevis pin or cotter pin. Another advantage is that the ring can double as a grip to pull for easy removal of the pin.
