Wire Rope Fittings

Galvanised JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard) Thimbles are a heavy duty, hot dipped galvanised thimble used on boat mooring lines and for general marine applications. These are also used for wire rope lifting slings and can be used on heavy duty rope slings.

 

 

Galvanised Thimbles are a lightweight thimble used on boat anchor packs and for general purpose use to avoid wear on rope.

 

Stainless Steel Thimbles (AISI 304) can be spliced into the end of rope to avoid wear on rope itself, and also pressed into wire rope to save wear on wire rope.

 

Malleable Wire Rope Grips are a heavy duty hot dipped galvanised wire rope grip used for stay wires and general purpose use for clamping wire rope.

 

Stainless Steel Wire Rope Grips (AISI 304) are used to form eyes in wire rope. This item clamps wire rope together as a quick solution to forming eyes, and are used for marine and architectural applications.

Galvanised Turnbuckles are available as eye/eye and clevis/eye. These are a heavy duty galvanised turnbuckle used to tension stay wires, wire ropes and for industrial applications.

 

Zinc Plated Turnbuckles are available as eye/eye and hook/eye. These are a general purpose light duty turnbuckle.

 

Alloy Ferrules are used to crimp eyes into wire rope (generally galvanised wire rope) and are also used for overhead lifting applications.

 

Copper Ferrules are manufactured from copper and are ideally used with hand crimping tools and also used to form eyes in stainless steel wire rope with a hydraulic press.

 

Nickle Plated Copper Ferrules are from copper and are then nickle plated. When pressed, these ferrules retain the nickle plated appearance. These ferrules are used for architectural work (eg on balustrades) as they are aesthetically pleasing to the eye.
